Late 1960s Sho Bud Double Neck Pedal Steel Guitar • Baldwin Crossover Model NICE
This auction is for a super nice condition National Console Double Neck Lap Steel Guitar. This fine instrument has two 8-string necks. This is a complete instrument all knobs levers covers and nuts are on and in good working condition. It is missing one string, but I figure since strings are at least 40 years old they all would need to be replaced. It has 3-Way Tone Switch, Bass, Mellow, Brilliant. Also a 3-way Bank Selector with Low Medium and High. It has a 1st or 2nd set of String Selector Switch. Comes with Original screw on Output Jack with good 15ft long plug in cable. Also comes with steel bar slide not in pictures. It comes with original case that has a few wear marks but it in very nice usable condition for something that is at least 60 years old. I am not sure of exact year but I believe it to be pre 1950. It has a low serial number V16251. This was my moms back in early 50s which she purchased from another relative so I cannot be 100% on year. As far as condition it is ready to play with new Strings. I plugged it in and it operates perfectly. Some of the Tuner knobs have been replaced. The guitar does have some bumps and chipped paint but overall has had excellent care. One of the tuner covers has a 3/4 hairline crack which is hardly visable but none the less it is there. This is just a cover. It could use some chrome polish to clean up chrome finish. If you are local to the Kansas City area email me and we can set something up so you can see and play Guitar for yourself. The winner of this Guitar will be pleased.
